  • Includes: Lunch, workshop notes and some starter to use at home

  1. Creating a Starter:

    • Learn about the different types of flour and how to create your own sourdough starter.
    • Understand the fermentation process and how to maintain your starter.
  2. Using a Pre-Made Levain:

    • Since starters take several days to develop, you will work with a levain from The Batch Kitchen to jumpstart your baking.
  3. Baking Process:

    • Step-by-step guidance on:
      • Building the dough
      • Kneading techniques
      • Proving (fermentation) methods
      • Shaping your loaf
      • Baking to perfection
  4. Hands-On Practice:

    • Participate in the hands-on preparation and baking of various sourdough breads.

Bakes You’ll Create:

  • Simple White and Spelt Sourdough: A versatile loaf perfect for sandwiches or toast
